On Wednesday I completed my final HS state golf tournament. I played a solid first round and shot a 73 and was five shots back starting the second day. Unfortunately I really struggled on the second day and had some bad breaks and ended up placing 28th. I am disappointed to end my HS career that way but I realize that everyone has bad rounds. I am striking the ball well and my short game has improved. I still need some extra work on my putting but overall my game is as good as it has ever been. I am looking forward to my next tournament on June 19-20. It is the Grays Harbor Men's Amateur. I am the defending champion and would love for that to be my breakthrough tournament for the year. I am looking forward to competing again and am excited to see how I play as things start to fall together.

Best of luck! What happened at the other tournament leading up to the state?
ReplyDeleteThanks Gary. It didn't go so well either but I learned a lot from it. It was a good prep tournament.
ReplyDeleteYou'll bounce back Nolan! I'm bummed I won't see you play at the Grays Harbor Amateur, but hopefully I'll be able to watch a different one soon! =) You'll do awesome!
